About
Heidegger Discussions is an electronic forum for discussion and experimentation pertaining to the writings of Martin Heidegger.
This site also aggregates postings from the Heidegger Email List which is an open philosophy list hosted by An-archos - all interested parties are invited and encouraged to participate. Posts on all aspects of Heidegger will be welcomed. The list is open to general discussion, group readings of published works, the sharing and critique of participants’ works-in-progress, and creative appropriations of the texts across a variety of disciplines. If you would like to join this ongoing email discussion please feel free to subscribe.
The Heidegger email list was created between 1992 and 1993 by Kent Palmer and Ermel Stepp as part of Kent Palmer’s Thinknet - a comprehensive set of philosophy and theory lists originally hosted at world.std dot com in Boston. In 1994 the list was moved to the care of the Spoon Collective and was hosted, together with the other Spoon lists, at the Institute for Advanced Technology in the Humanities at the University of Virginia. It remained there until the dissolution of the Spoon Collective at the end of 2004 when it moved to the School of Communications and Contemporary Arts at Edith Cowan University. The list finally moved to its current server at An-archos in 2007.
The full decade long Heidegger Pipermail archive is installed here and can also be found at the Spoon Collective Archives (1995-2004).
