You could very well read all e-mail messages as text. I see you use Mozilla
for e-mailing (e.g. something like Thunderbird or so). For MS Office (MS
Outlook), there is the program SafeXP from http://theorica.net , it tells
Outlook to read all e-mail messages as text.
