a note on philosophy and rhetoric

But as we can plainly see, philosophy, in order to show itself, must
be spoken. The ground of philosophy,to recognize your question, Bob,
is a ground well worth digging into, mining as it were. But, at the
end of the day, said ground must yield to a showing, an above -ground
sholwing. Even though I am getting somewhat lost inside this
metaphor, you will notice, I can still recover the ground from which
my speaking has sprung. There is a way back from whence we came.
Language is the way backward and forward, from here, or there, and
back, back into the wild blue yonder.
From Des Moines, it’s Saturday night!
