I came across this interesting and very simple explanation concerning the
basic tenets of Islam.

Thank you Jud for doing the proselytising for me, which will of course
result in our local paranoid jumping to the conclusion that we are just alternate
identities for the same troll.

Jud:
A pleasure. This afternoon BTW I met the representatives [elders] of the
Mosque committee and presented my official credentials. I have requested
permission to attend at least one prayer session once a week, attend a Muslim
school as an observer and conduct interviews with any brother who is willing to
participate. They treated me with the utmost kindness and respect and I shall
of course respond accordingly with the same scrupulous courtesy. I am
carrying out a sociological survey of the Islamic community as my student initiated
module. My survey is concerned with the history, ethnic composition, societal
and linguistic aspects, educational facilities, interaction with non-Musilim
people and of life in general as a British Muslim. You [and some others on
this list] may be surprised to know that in *real* life, I am not overtly
anti-religious at all. I attend the Catholic Cathedral whenever there is a sung
high mass - I love the atmosphere and chorale pieces of religiously inspired
music.
It is only the lying Nazi Heidegger with his combination of outright Nazism,
anti-Semitism alloyed with his special brand of hypocritical crypto
Catholicism that gets my ire to rise.

I downloaded the Koran today and plan to read it right through. I am
brushing up on the ritualistic movements and postures of Islamic prayer. Funny old
world isn’t it? I may do a sociological survey of modern Heideggerianism
eventually [no names no pack-drill] drawing on the insights I have learned
whilst on this list. I am interested in the phenomena that SO OBVIOUSLY
Heideggerianism equals conflict. It seems to have dissonance built-in to it and there
is a strange parallel with the so-called *Wailing Wall* in Jerusalem. There
the Jews stand and nodding and praying to their God - the Heidegger wall is
where Heideggerians stand attacking and screaming abuse at each other. For me
Heidegger had an inherent diabolical evil within him that still effects
people with its divisive poison. My advice to any Muslim - do not contaminate or
pollute your religion or malign Mohammed [peace be upon him] with
Heideggerianism. As I posted his words to this list some time ago, the pope warned the
Catholic community to avoid existentialism, though some errant Catholics ignore
the Pope’s word, and as for Jews you would think they would have common
sense or at least more personal pride than play dangerous mind games with a
dangerous anti-Semite and his *let’s pretend philosophy,* who called for the
total elimination of their own folk? Well, I suppose he will be remembered in
history as the first [and let us hope the last] *philosopher* to called for the
murder of millions of his own countrymen.. There is a law I read somewhere
which says the smaller the cult - there more vicious and vociferous the
arguments over inconsequectial stupidities.

But as I said above - its a funny old world.

Cheers,

Jud.
