I have an observation and a question. I checked how the new site looks in my browser and it looks pretty messy to me. The quoting gets all messed up with spaces in every other line sometimes. Is this my browser? What is causing the quoting in a response to get all messed up? A post only looks good if a person doesn’t quote a previous post or it’s not included.
Yeh, if you use html or rich Text in your email the results aren’t too bad, but a lot of the plain text posts have their paragraphs collapsed and quoting jumbled. I’m still working on the layout but with so many different email formats it may take some time to bed down. If you can enable html posts then I’d say go for it. You can continue to freely post to the list but you can also now register and post directly to the blog if you so wish. Registration is at:
My other question is whether or not the site now is going to be available regardless of your contract with your university? Can it be said to be a stable domain/list then?
The an-archos site is part of my online business whereas the list is still hosted on the university server. I’ll be moving the list over to the an-archos server as soon as necessary but not before so yes, in that sense the list will continue as is with me moderating it. The only difficulty is how I pay for server costs which at the moment will most probably be via Google ads in the web site footer. If anyone has or wants to add a CafePress shop or shops they can talk to me about it.
Hmmmm …. maybe I should start a new thread on the Monetization of Being: Potentiality and Actuality?
Cheers,
