I’m not aware of any linguist who claims that ‘is’ alone is a predicate.
since you are claiming that ‘is’ is a predicate, it is up to you to
either:
1. show that this claim is supported by linguists (or philosophers or
other relevant scholars); or,
2. explain why we should adopt this new rule of grammar that you are
proposing.
since you have previously suggested that the lack of support for your
position among linguists was a sign that you were on the right track
philosophically, I just assumed that you had chosen option 2; but,
obviously, you may go back and take option 1 instead.
