rene, i sent this off a while ago, but guess it never arrived, …so this is
second try
Bob,
I assume that you have my answer by now. Some more points, the first historical:
In 1870 France declared war to Germany. Germany occupied France in a very short time,
then celebrated itself into an empire: - Nietzsche raged because of such stupidity - ,
but they did not destroy France, they only took the Elzass - which was German, but taken
away by Louis 15.
France was to exist all along, and not, like was immediately proposed in England in
1914, to be eliminated like a business rival.
In 1914 Russia and England declared war to Germany. Germany surrendered in view of
the Americans joining England and France (why?) at the end of the war (sic!!), as it
did later, and in view of an honest peace treaty. Then the devilish strategy developed,
and what happened in Verdun was spread onesidedly over the whole of Germany.
And now the word ‘betrayal’ wasn’t leaving anymore. Now the story is complete, and
only the combination of Verdun and betrayal to Germany and Europe can be said to
represent the downfall of Europe, European nihilism, with the help of 2 outsiders.
The proof being that, as soon as Germany was completely defeated, they really began
to fear it. Hoping, that Germany would rearm and the antisemitism, developing amidst
misery, could be manipulated, so that at least the perspective of the permanent
destruction of Germany kept the Allied going.
We are discussing technology and what and how could be the essence of it. Verdun was one
(devastating, also morally) thing, but the manipulation of such facts, another and far
more devastating in the sense of always driving for more overcall. And now, after so many
cities destroyed, it is the little Spanish village GUERNICA which is presented as the horror.
That can’t be.
But this shows as well that there is a trail which can be followed back. We live in the
information era.

Another point concerns a fundamental issue: the impossibility for subjectivity to think
of an appearing of itself, as in Greek physis. This is the deeper reason for the
impossibility to confer meaning to what always already is taken as the meaningless,
for instance in the biological way life is conceived of. We are right away at the inevitable
problem of what life is apart from the biological view, what it is before it is objectified,
if biology is a science of something and not of nothing. Aristotle is very aware of that,
but his answer to the problem is so straightforward, that later it vanished from the realm of
creation, where aletheia is shut off completely. Aristotle almost naively sums up: animals,
earth, plants etc.
We, as living, do we have to wait for biology to tell what and how we are? Should we not
have an idea of it while living and because we are alive? But that is not able to get
through the limits of the biological Betrieb, which is definively stiffened by the false
morality blaming a specific bad praxis, just as in the case of Guernica, in order to save
its unconditional progress.
But this way knowledge is itself in danger of becoming sheer fantasy, and what else is science
developing into since the end of metaphysics? But Heidegger and Nietzsche, those warning,
are the nazi’s, their country as the European center of thought and poetry destroyed, and that
is the way ’science’ is being saved. For a short moment. Still, all the time we live life as
if it is nothing, an animal thing, a ride, a religious or irreligious curse. Permanently
saying ‘is’, but unable to admit it. And a national elimination of ‘Being’, just think of it
for one second. It is clear that life is turned into one obsession, of which the impossibility
is always getting nearer.
