doesn’t exactly parallel the Chinese attitude. A decent analogy is Heidegger’s view of philosophy towards the sciences - though philosophy does recognize something that the sciences do not - that scientific thinking is a founded mode - philosophy does not require that they ask its permission to do their experiments.
