Adrian,
there’s clearly a continuum, Pinochet, Videla, Fujimori, and a global
phenomenon all of a piece, …all the CIA dirty wars and death squads for
near a century,
coming to full flower in this unapologetic climactic moment of the lighting
of the being of fascism. Bush and the neocons, like nietzsche, heid and
hitler, deeply convinced of the nihility of the discourse of
enlightenment, - laws and constitutions, democracy and rights of man, have
set about with a will to destruct it irretrievably, in favor of some
mystical option for war and a noble elite (fuhrer principle) and
their noble orwellian lie of a new world order. however, unlike malcolm,
i’m of the opinion the notion of machination is specific to the works and
days of aufklarung, and that the central fascist krieg fetish means to put
things past the little will to will of dasein into the the realm of
letting being be.
