Hi Mark,
the list seems to have had a political heart bypass at the moment,
and we’re all awaiting what will come of it, I think it’s a rather
interesting phase and one it cycles through every year or so. I try
to post every now and then but most of my time is being taken up by
web development and uni work so my writing episodes are somewhat
sporadic. My general theme though is the notion of power in relation
to Heidegger’s question concerning technology and I’ve certainly
enjoyed the last 3 and a half years following that thread on list.
Are you working on any Heidegger related topics at the moment?
As for general list netiquette as this is a university sponsored
server could everyone please refrain from the use of expletives in
general as well as ad hominem insults and flaming. Clear honest
debate about any aspect of Heidegger’s philosophy is what we need to
keep the list going.
So … is anyone reading Heidegger at the moment? I’m still stuck on
the Nietzsche critique, our planetary technological ordering and its
globalising will to will.
Der Wille zum Willen erzwingt sich als seine Grundformen des
Erscheinens die Berechnung und die Einrichtung von Allem, dies jedoch
nur zur unbedingt fortsetzbaren Sicherung seiner selbst.

Cheers,
Malcolm
