Only the uneducated thoughtlessly employ the term ‘abstraction’
polemically. They presuppose all there is in its concrete richness, and
thus take for granted, as given, that which any philosophical thinking
worth its salt first has to think through — starting from scratch.
What you say doesn’t come even remotely close to engaging with
Heidegger’s phenomenology of selfhood and world in _Sein und Zeit_,
GA24, 26, 27.
Jud:
And pray tell us how one is to use the word *abstraction* thoughtfully,
other than to correctly point out that the abstract noun *abstraction,* like
*Being* and *selfhood* and the rest of the sad roll-call of the geekish
gerundial geejaws of transcendentalism - is simply the crazed illusion of the
brainwashed, where general ideas or concepts are abstracted from individual
concrete examples by would-be obscurantists and claimed by the ignorant as
concretisations of the concrete?
What exist are human abstractors - the the abstracted transcendentalist yuck
is merely the mire of mediaevalism which fouls the plages of modern
philosophy and helps keep the Jerry Falwells and sundry religious nuts of this world
nicely mummified within a protective applique of dysfunctional discharge.
By all means wallow in your continental effluent if you must, but please
keep your Heideggerian waste where it belongs, in the beer-halls of the neo-Nazi
skinheads and idiot savants for which is was designed [and where *Unser
Martin* is continues to be extolled and worshipped on various contemporary
white-supremacist websites) and don’t foul our shores with the Philosopher of
Nazism’s revolting passé yuck.
Mai Gott und der Philosoph von Nazismus Hilfe Sie!
