At least the article spells Nietzsche’s name correctly.
The reported counter-movement by atheists is a nice example of Hegelian
dialectic that
every posited positive bears within it its own negative. That leads to
contradiction which
then has to be resolved in a higher unity. In this case, such a sublation
(Aufhebung) as
negation of the negation might even have room for mystery, if not mysticism.
Everything that’s alive is a contradiction.

Given the relentless and undeniable trend in Europe over the past 100 years,
I’m not so optimistic. The European Union, in both its charters and its
celebrations, leave absolutely no room for any mystery, even merely as an
historical recognition of Europe’s roots. The trend has been in that
direction for quite a while now, so if a sublation is going to happen, it’s
getting conspicuously late.
I suppose that once the native Europeans are demographically replaced by
Muslim immigrants, that may change. But I doubt that’s the sublation you had
in mind.
