After three suicides at Guantanamo, we are assured by the commandant
that this was “not an act of desperation, but rather of planned
warfare.” If you’re wondering how he can know such a thing, you need
only think of the superb intelligence which is the hallmark of our
entire military/defense system. Makes you not only proud to be an
American, but secure in the world as well. But it does leave you
wondering why an otherwise intelligent man like William S. Burroughs
slept with a loaded gun under his pillow.
