Bob,
1. Christian fanatics did the same to the Roman Empire. Since Enlightenment
was inspired by Machiavelli, and Machiavelli was inspired by the books of
Titus Livius (who described the Roman way), and the Enlightenment produced
the actual West, we may see the West (or at least Europe) as Roman Empire
reborn (well, according to Daniel 2 it is clay mixed with iron instead or
iron).
2. Gustave Le Bon says “Collectivities have always given way before active
sectaries.” (The Psychology of Revolution, II.V.1, see ftp://ftp.mirrorservice.org/sites/ftp.ib…
text96/psrev10.txt )
3. The European demographic pyramid looks like: very many old people (and
their proportion is increasing) and very few young people (and their
proportion is diminishing). In this condition they have two choices: (i) let
their pensions system go to hell, and remain without medical care, current
water and food (because there will not be enough people busy with productive
work), or (ii) heavily rely upon foreign workforce (immigrants, which the
Europeans hate now so much).
Greetings,
Tudor
