Faith must be constantly tested in order to be authentic faith. I think
Paul says that, but I can’t find it. Untested faith is just fallen or
worse. Spengler in Monday’s Asia Times points out that the Da Vinci Code
is a good sign for Xtians because millions read the book or watch the
movie, get the heresy, and then go back to church on Sunday, stronger
in their faith. He contrasts that the Satanic verses or cartoons
kerfuffle, which the mullahs must repress before their charges find out
and lose faith.
