Joe, Like “it Is,” a root predicate offers no information either
existentially or ontologically except that it is necessarilly tautological. Accordingly,
the generation of the Logos must be grounded in that which has no
predication, is acausal and not a part of time and space as a process of predication
knows it. It is, as such the nearest metaphor to *deus absconditus.* That is also
the case with the unspoken word as The Logos, the potential for predication as
no more than an immanence of the one and only “root predicate.” This is the
basis for monotheism and without which, like Jud and the rest of America, we
would be dangling in the polytheism that William James noted as the religion of
the (common) people. What this religion is, is best exampled as “Hollywood”
and the coo-coo time of unmitigated materialism whose Zeus is Mickey Mouse.
